5 Ways to Celebrate Mother's Day on a Busy Schedule

Living in a fast-paced society can make it difficult to celebrate Mother’s Day properly. We’ve come up with the best ways to make the most of Mother’s Day without having to spend ages planning.

1. Breakfast in Bed

It might sound simple but it’s a classic idea that’s always appreciated, plus, it doesn’t take up your whole day! Especially if you’ve got a bunch of other things going on, planning a breakfast the night before and spending the morning with your mother is one of the best things you can do.

2. Get a Massage

Getting a massage with your mum will leave both of you feeling amazing. Not only do you get to treat your mum, you get to treat yourself and you get some quality time together. Massages can be quick or last over an hour depending on how much time in a day you have.

  • 3. Have a Spa Day
  • Having a spa day might sound expensive or complicated but it doesn’t have to be. If you’re super busy, you could even make it a spa night in to wind down with your mum. Do each other’s nails, wear a face mask or get a natural tan on together.

  • 4. Cook Dinner Together
  • Most likely, the both of you will need to be eating dinner anyway. Rather than going out to a fancy restaurant, cooking dinner together allows you to have more bonding time away from the hussle and bussle of a public space.

  • 5. Movie Marathon
  • In the end, all mum wants is to spend time with her kids. Having a simple movie marathon at the end of the night is easy and hassle-free. It might take up quite a few hours but fortunately, it takes little to no time to plan.

Ultimately, Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be a huge stress. Sometimes, simple is the way to go. Often, the most important things aren’t expensive gifts or extravagant events, instead it’s just the quality time spent together. Happy Mother’s Day!
